The FORGENOM project is pleased to join the STEIDA project in organising a free online training focused on technology transfer, designed for beginners and early‑career researchers.

The training entitled “Introduction to Technology Transfer: Basic Concepts and Processes” will take place on 28 April 2026 at 09:00 (CEST) in an online format.

The training programme is organised by the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR) and is supported by the Erasmus+ programme. Through this joint activity, the FORGENOM project strengthens its engagement in capacity building and knowledge transfer, complementing its research mission with practical training in innovation and technology transfer.

Training Content

The webinar will introduce participants to:

• the fundamentals of technology transfer,

• the technology transfer ecosystem,

• funding mechanisms for innovation and knowledge transfer,

• cooperation between universities and enterprises,

• networking and practical aspects of bringing research results closer to application.

  
  

Target Audience

The training is intended primarily for beginners in technology transfer, including:

• university students,

• PhD candidates,

• postdoctoral researchers.

Participants will gain new theoretical knowledge and practical insight into technology transfer processes and will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the training.

International Expertise

The training was developed with the support and expertise of the STEIDA project coordinator from the Center for Applied and Research Technology Transfer at KTU (KTU TTC, Türkiye), together with project partners from:

• the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI),

• the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation (BCC),

• the Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI), Slovenia,

• the University of Zagreb (UNIZG), Croatia.
